Melissa Anne Robinson

Melissa Jones Robinson, 61, of Carrollton, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in a local hospital. She was born in Athens, Georgia, on April 9, 1964, to the late Douglas Jones and Joanne Sargent Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kerry Robinson.

Melissa dedicated more than 25 years of her life to teaching, earning her Master's in Education and leaving a lasting impression on the many students she taught over the years. She had a quiet but meaningful way of connecting with others, especially in the classroom, where her steady presence made a difference in countless lives.

Outside of teaching, Melissa found comfort and joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved reading, spending time scrapbooking, and enjoying her favorite Chinese takeout. She was known for her colorful sticky notes-little reminders and thoughts left behind in her own unique way. 

She is survived by her children, Brittany (Daniel) Mclntosh of Bremen and Zeke (Josie) Robinson of Carrollton; her beloved grandchildren, Jaxson and Lachlan Mclntosh; her sister, Amy Jones Crosby; and her brother, Ty (Kathy) Jones. She is also survived by her nephews, Dustin, Max, and Sam.

Family and friends are invited to gather in her memory on Sunday, April 12, 2026, from 4:00PM until 6:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.
