Mrs. Melissa "Lisa" Joan Whitmore Carroll, age 49, of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016.  Mrs. Carroll was born in Carrollton, Georgia on October 5, 1966.  She was a homemaker.  She was preceded in death by her father, David Whitmore.

Survivors include her husband, Henry Lee Carroll of Tallapoosa; one daughter, Kay and her husband Derrick Laminack of Tallapoosa; one son, Ryan and Kelsey Carroll of Tallapoosa; three sisters, Susan and her husband David Folds of Tallapoosa, Amy and her husband Mark Carroll and Jane and her husband Chris Gray all of Carrollton; mother and step-father, Joyce and Johnny Brown of Tallapoosa; three grandchildren, Carson Carroll, Bailey Carroll and Emma Carrol; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Murphy and Rev. David Morrow officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mark Carroll, David Folds, Scott Folds, Chris Gray, Wayne White, Gabriel Pratts, Wesley White and Will Hotalen.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Carson Carroll, Bailey Carroll and Gauge Gray.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
