Mrs. Melba Ann Harper Tallent, age 66, of 84 Sam House Rd., Bremen passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Mrs. Tallent was born in Foley, Alabama on February 6, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Harper and Maudie Mae Suddeth Harper Keaton. Mrs. Tallent was a retired nursing assistant. Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Ronald Tallent; and one daughter, Kimberly Tallent. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cheron and Greg Truett of Bremen; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Larry Christopher Tallent of Bremen, Lyle Corey and Heidi Tallent of Douglasville and Cary E. Tallent of Sarasota, FL; mother, Maudie Keaton of Hickory, NC; step-mother, Mildred Harper of Hiawassee; one sister, Janice Gable of Temple; two brothers, David Keaton of Hickory, NC and Danny Keaton of Hickory, NC; two grandchildren, Amber Truett and Bethany Tallent; and a number of other relatives. No services are planned. The body was cremated. The family wishes to express a deep, heartfelt thanks to Gene, Elizabeth and Sandy Truett.
