Mayor Benjamin S. "Buster" Biggers, age 69, of Buchanan passed away Friday, August 17, 2012. Mr. Biggers was born in Buchanan on April 14, 1943. He was the son of the late Loyd Thomas Biggers and the late Mary Clotele Shumake Biggers. Mr. Biggers was currently serving his second term as Mayor of Buchanan, a city that he loved very much. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Clovis Momon; and two brothers, Joe Biggers and Hal Biggers.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and David Arizola of Metairie, LA; one sister, Caroline Wright of Marietta; one grandchild, Isabella Arizola of Metairie, LA; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, August 20, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. John Norton and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Members of the Buchanan City Council, City of Buchanan Employees and Buchanan Police Dept. will serve as honorary pallbearers. The urn will be interred in the family lot at Buchanan City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6:00 P.M.
until 9:00 P.M.
