Max Junior Norton, age 68 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.  Born in Carrollton on December 10, 1955, he is the son of the late Charlie Norton and the late Bessie Causey Norton.  In addition to his parents, Max is preceded in death by three sisters, Diane Grimsley, Carolyn Cash, and Annette Wyatt, and three brothers, Bobby Norton, Danny Ray Norton, and Robert Norton.

Max spent many hours on the road driving a truck, and he enjoyed anything to do with horses.  Max loved his family fiercely and dearly loved his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his daughter, Tammi Wright of Buchanan; his grandchildren: Jada Wright and Dylan Wright; and his sister and brother-in-law, Violet & Donald Fortner of Buchanan.  He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In accordance with his wishes, Max will be cremated.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
