Mrs. Mattielou Thurman Winters, age 84, of Tallapoosa passed away Monday, August 7, 2018.  Mrs. Winters as born in Tallapoosa, Georgia on May 7, 1934.  Mrs. Winters is preceded in death by her parents Phillip Radford Thurman and Frances Thurman and one brother Grady Hugh Thurman.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in law Phillip and Jennifer Winters of Tallapoosa and William Thurman of Tallapoosa; six grandchildren, Ciera (Dylan) Garben, Meghan Winters, Kilye Winters, MacKenzie Winters, Jonathan Golden and Manda Golden; two great grandchilds, Ellie Graben and Raiden Hunter; and a number of other relatives.

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. from the Graveside at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery in Cleburne County, Alabama, with Rev. Ken Mugg officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon from 11:00 AM until 1:00 P.M.
