Mary Lou Turner

Mary Lou Folds Turner, age 66 of Carrollton, passed way peacefully on Thursday, June 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Carrollton, Georgia, on August 18, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Billy Wayne Folds and the late Tommie Lou Buchanan Folds.  In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her sister, Susan Pointer, granddaughter, Ava Turner, and her grandparents.

Mary enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as fishing and playing bingo.  She also had a fun-loving, thrill seeking side that enjoyed watching pro wrestling and dirt track racing.  Family and faith were important to Mary.  She was saved by the grace of God on August 14, 1990 at Shiloh Church. Mary will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 50 years, Danny Turner of Carrollton; her son, Danny D. Turner of Carrollton; her daughter, Tnisha Turner of Carrollton; son, Terry Lawler of Atlanta; and her precious grandson, Hunter Turner.  Also surviving are her brothers,  Marion Wayne Folds of Carrollton, Billy (Michelle) Folds of Bremen, and Steven (Ava) Folds of Carrollton; cousins, Donna folds and Gavin Dunaway; and a host of other family and friends.

In keeping with Mrs. Turner's wishes, she will be cremated.  The family will host a celebration of life at a later date.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan.
