Mary Colleen Ray

Mary Colleen King Ray, age 75 of Douglasville, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. Born on April 6, 1951, in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Joe Neil King and the late Gloria Stewart King. In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her siblings, Jo Anne and Michael.

Mary's professional journey was highlighted by her role as a dietician at a senior care living facility, where she made a significant impact to the residents through her expertise and kindness. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Mary found joy in the art of homemaking and the skillful craft of sewing. Her talents extended through music as she sang in the choir, enriching the spiritual life of her community. She was also a faithful attendee of Saint Theresa Roman Catholic Church in Douglasville. Mary Colleen Ray’s life was a testament to the virtues of dedication, love, and faith. 

Mary is survived by her loving children, Stephanie Ray (Caryn Cash), as well as her son, Brian Ray. Her legacy also lives on through a cherished circle of grandchildren. She is remembered fondly by her siblings Sharron, Becky, Peggy, Maureen, Paula, Bruce, and Kevin.

In keeping with her wishes, Ms. Ray will be cremated.
