Mary Ellen Moat, age 77 of Ranburne, AL, passed away Monday, May 9, 2022, in a local hospital.  She was born on November 21, 1944, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, to the late Albert Donald and Teresa Caruso Wherry.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Stony Brooks Moat.  When her health was good, Mary enjoyed reading, crocheting and going to movies.  She truly loved her family and her fur babies.

Surviving Mrs. Moat are her children, a daughter, Michelle Chapman of Ranburne; sons, Donald Kemper of Ranburne; Roy Bathgate of Sault St. Marie, MI;  and Charles Bathgate of Ohio.

In keeping with her wishes, Mrs. Moat will be cremated.
