Mrs. Mary Ann Melear Lovvorn, age 90, of 233 Carrollton St., Buchanan passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2008. Mrs. Lovvorn was born in Carroll County on March 3, 1918. She was the daughter of the late William Melear and the late Annie Mae Smith Melear. Mrs. Lovvorn was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lovvorn; three sisters, Clois Rutledge, Lois Melear and Myrtice Jackson; five brothers, A.J. Melear, Durward Melear, Taft Melear, Melvin Melear and Hubert Melear. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Pat Lovvorn of Tallapoosa; one sister, Martha Eidson of Cumming; and a number of grandchildren; great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 26, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Wendell Hurston, Rev. Buddy Cross and Rev. John Smith officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Indian Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Nick Benson, Ryan Benson, Brandon Bates, Brian Bates, Cody Hunt and Shane Lovvorn. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Katie Bates, Kiley Bates and Brandy Bates. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
