Mrs. Mary Edith Qullas Locklear, age 70, of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011. Mrs. Locklear was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on March 20, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Jack Qullas and the late Kathleen Qullas. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rufus Lee Locklear, Sr.; one daughter, Linda Johnson; two sons, Rocky Johnson and Edward Johnson; one sister, Shirley Baker; and two brothers, Bill Qullas and Bud Qullas.

Survivors include four daughters, Donna Johnson, Rhonda Johnson, Donita Johnson and Darlene Johnson all of Kingsport, TN; two sons, Jackie Johnson of Kingsport, TN and Rufus Lee Locklear, Jr. of Richmond Hill, GA; one brother, Allen Qullas of Kingsport, TN; and a number of grandchildren, great grandchildren and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 18, 2011 at 4:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jason Hatchett officiating. Interment will follow in Lime Branch Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Larry Allan, Mark Anthony, Kurtis Baussell, Aaron Brooks, David Goodwynne and Brady Nguyen.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
