Mrs. Mary Nell Morris Jenkins, age 86, of 55 McClure Circle, Buchanan passed away Monday, October 18, 2010. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Douglas County on May 10, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Morris and the late Mattie Lou Bishop Morris. Mrs. Jenkins was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Cleo Hendrix; and three brothers, Alfred Morris, Edgar Morris and Horace Morris. Survivors include four daughters, Joyce (Robert) Biddy of Dallas, Judy (Van) McBrayer of Buchanan, Jennell (Garvis) Harper of Buchanan and Maxine Hicks (Medra Ashmore) of Atlanta; four sons, Wallace (Peggy) Shepherd of Buchanan, Jerry (Kay) Shepherd of Temple, James (Evelyn) Hicks of Bremen and Floyd Jenkins of Buford; two sisters, Doris Faulkner of Carrollton and Ruby Newell of Douglasville; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Terrell McBrayer and Rev. Tommy Bailey officiating. Music will be rendered by Harold McWhorter and the Gospel Way. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Douglas County with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shane McBrayer, Josh Biddy, Jason Hicks, Dustin Jenkins, Reggie Shepherd and Kyle Shepherd. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Cody Jenkins, Kevin Harper, Terry Smith and Rob Biddy. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
