Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Luke Kirk, age 87, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, April 16, 2017.  Mrs. Kirk was born in Enigma, Georgia, on May 29, 1929.  She was the daughter of the late Thomas Luke and the late Ruby Sherrod Luke.  Mrs. Kirk was a retired nurse.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Benjamin Kirk on March 25, 2017; one daughter, Barbara Carlisle McKibben; three sisters, Wealthy Knoles, Alice Stone and Leecy Knight; five brothers, Ben Luke, James Luke, Sherrod Luke, Dalton Luke and Charlie Luke; and one grandchild, Jason Kirk.

Survivors include two daughters, and one son-in-law, Debra Bentley of Temple, and Ruby and Timothy Hayes of Buchanan; four sons and two daughters-in-law, Benjamin and Connie Carlisle of Winter Haven, FL, Robert and Frances Kirk of Bremen, John Kirk of Newnan and Tim Kirk of Buchanan; one sister, Eldean Driggers of Polk City, FL; two brothers, Julian Luke of Tallahassee, FL and Otis Luke of Winter Haven, FL; twenty one grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Alan Kirk and Mr. Lonnie Bentley officiating.  Music will be rendered by Rev. Alan Kirk and Family.  Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Terry Mosley, John Kirk, Joe Kirk, Chris Robinson, Benjamin Robinson and Lee Hobbs.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:0 P.M.
