Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Cheatwood Daniel, age 78, of Tallapoosa passed away Saturday, March 9, 2013. Mrs. Daniel was born in Borden Springs, Alabama on December 15, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Cheatwood and the late Frances Charles Cheatwood. Mrs. Daniel worked for many years at American Thread in Tallapoosa where she operated a spinning frame. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt Mitchell Daniel; and one grandchild, Mitchell Daniel.

Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Cathryn and Henry Jones of Heflin, AL, Mae Weldon of Tallapoosa; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gerald Daniel of Tallapoosa and Jerry and Kayla Daniel of Tallapoosa; twelve grandchildren, Vickie Daniel, Crystal Elder, Tommy Daniel, Renee Patterson, Taylor Daniel, Payton Daniel, Grant Daniel, Anna Claire Daniel, Johnny Edwards, Ronnie Weldon, Robin Wilson and Kelsey Weldon; twelve great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Pesnell officiating. Music will be provided by Pine Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ronnie Weldon, Johnny Edwards, Tommy Daniel, Brian Wilson, Taylor Daniel and Adrian Wilson.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
