Mary Bell Causey

Mary Bell Causey, age 70 of Tallapoosa, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 19, 1955, in Tallapoosa, she was the daughter of the late Robert Bert Bell and the late Dorothy King Bell. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Janice & Ronnie Rush, Floyd Bell, and Bobby Bell. Mary’s heart will forever carry the memory of her great-granddaughter, Annaleece, whose light shone brightly during her short life.

Throughout her career, Mary devoted many years to her role as a supervisor at Diamond Crystal, where her leadership and dedication earned the respect of her colleagues and management alike.  She had a vibrant personality that radiated creativity and joy. She enjoyed all arts and crafts, but especially painting ceramics, scrapbooking, and sewing. The holiday season, especially Christmas, held a special place in her heart. She was a loving family member who cherished her relationships above all. Her family was her proudest accomplishment and her greatest joy.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Causey; daughter, Tina Bearden; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne & Heather Causey; siblings Agnes Bell, Connie & Donnie Edwards, David & Stacy Bell, along with sister-in-law Helen Bell. Mary’s legacy continues through her grandchildren, including Zach Causey, Candace Cobb, Christopher Blackmon, Katelyn and Alex Leopard, Brian “BB” Causey, and Autumn Causey, along with her great-grandchildren, Caisley, Dakota and Little David. Mary will also be fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews and extended family.

The funeral service for Mary Causey will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shannon Simpson, BB Causey, Shannon Deese, Scott McCullough, Howard Dotson, Brandon Bell, Kevin Causey, Zach Causey, and Toby Bell.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 1, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel in Buchanan.  Mary will also lie-in-state on Monday at Pine Grove from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.
