Mrs. Mary Marie Owens Boyce, age 69, of Buchanan passed away Friday, August 10, 2007. Mrs. Boyce was born in Haralson County on March 10, 1938. She was the daughter of the late Junius Owens and the late Flessie Miller Owens. Mrs. Boyce was a retired seamstress. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence James Boyce; sister, Ruby Nell Gibson; brothers, Carl Owens and Bobby Owens. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Twyla and David Rakestraw of Cedartown; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Vicki Boyce of Cedartown; three sisters, Dorothy Howard of Cedartown, Betty Lou Hindman of Canton and Jeanette Gray of Seneca, SC; two brothers, Elmer Owens of Tallapoosa and Jerry Owens of Bremen; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 13, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Dr. Allen Wilburn and Rev. Van Brown officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Tallapoosa East Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Michael Owens, James Owens, David Hindman, Gene Hindman, Colby Boyce, Randall Hudgens, Tony Gibson and Steven Gibson. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
