Mrs. Mary Nell Williams Almeida, age 90 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 17, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.  Mrs. Almeida was born in Meridian, MS, on October 20, 1930, to the late Irene Atkins Williams and the late Luther Emmett Williams.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Almeida; her sister, Eleanor Eaves; and brothers, James Williams, Harris Williams, and John Williams.

Before moving to Buchanan, Mary managed and operated several dry cleaner locations in Marietta. She retired in 1998 and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Sunday dinners for all of the family to be together. Mary also enjoyed spoiling her cats.

Mrs. Almeida is survived by two daughter and sons-in-laws: Sherrie and Charles Lindley of MS and Lisa and George Baltzegar of Buchanan; five grandchildren: Michelle Lindley, Shawna Lindley, Jason Lindley, Victoria Dale, and Nicole Baltzegar;  eight great grandchildren: Jackson, Abbye, Kaela, Patrick, Eli, Gavin, Chloe, and Kinsey; and two great great-grandchildren: Jakoby and Sophia.

A cryptside memorial service for Mrs. Mary Almeida will be conducted Friday, September 17, 2021, at 11:00 AM from the Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA,
