Mr. Marvin Eugene Lucas, age 81, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, September 23, 2017.  Mr. Lucas was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on March 27, 1936.  He was the son of the late Steve Morris Luca and the late Mattie Gertrude Lockey Lucas.  Mr. Lucas was veteran of the United States Army where he served in Korea.  He was a ranger and was awarded the Purple Heart.  Mr. Lucas graduated from Louisiana State University.  He was the owner and operator of The Barber Shop in Buchanan.

Survivors include one daughter Brandy Lucas; one son, Marvin E. Lucas, Jr.; three grandchildren including Cody Lucas of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.

Private memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
