Marvell Virginia Henson Terrell, age 82 of Temple, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 10, 2026. Born in LaGrange, Georgia, on March 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Claude Henson and the late Claudia Mae Norton Henson. In addition to her parents, Marvell is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Talmadge Terrell, and all her siblings: Maybell Hall, Reba Bowen, Nell Langley, Margie Henson, Ann Clark, Howard Henson, and Doug Henson.
As a stay-at-home mom, Marvell loved taking care of her family. Her favorite days were filled with spending time with grandchildren and playing video games. Marvell enjoyed doing word search and watching television, with her favorite program being "Walker, Texas Ranger." A devout Christian woman, she loved her Lord and loved worshipping at the Church at Piney Woods. Her warm, loving personality will be missed by all who loved her.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy & Randy Littlejohn of Temple and Kelley & Gary Bell of Temple; her son, Anthony Terrell; and her precious grandchildren: Ashley (Roy) Bryant, Amy (Travis) Yates, Heather Terrell, Haleigh Phelps, Chelsea Anderson, Paige Umbrell, Nathanial Wheeler, Tyler Carlile, Isaiah Bell, Joseph Bell, Ezekial Bell, and Hadassah Bell. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren: Brianna Bryant, Jacob Bryant, Eli Yates, Carter Terrell, Chloe Terrell, Kyle Phelps, Virginia Anderson, Kash Anderson, Olivia Wheeler, Paisley Pollett, Dakota Duke, Jackson Brown, Alora Carlile, and River Umbrell.
The funeral service for Marvell Terrell will be conducted on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother David Gray officiating. She will be laid to rest at West Georgia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 PM and on Friday one hour prior to the service.
