Mrs. Martha Peavy Walker, age 88, of 2009 Center Point Rd., Temple passed away Friday, July 30, 2009. Mrs. Walker was born in Fulton County on March 16, 1921. She was the daughter of the late James Ernest Peavy and the late Susan Ann Cash Peavy. Mrs. Walker was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Junior Walker; two sons, Richard Harrison Walker and Harry J. Walker. Survivors include six sons and four daughters-in-law, James William Walker of Temple, Ernie and Donna Walker of Jackson, John Wesley and Denise Walker of Buchanan, Leslie Wayne and Linda Walker of Temple, Michael Leon Walker of Buchanan and Roger Allen and Lynn Walker of Villa Rica; one sister, Ida Lucille Foster of McDonough; one brother James Leon Peavy of McDonugh; fifteen grandchildren; and a number of great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. with Minister Bill Gray and Daniel Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Draketown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 4:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
