Martha Rose House Harris, age 79, of Tallapoosa, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. Born on March 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Samuel House and the late Inez Bartlett House. In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband Larry Dean Harris; daughter, Sally Lorraine Harris; sisters, Bobbie Jean Robinson, Sally House, Elizabeth Truitt, and Linda Hatfield; and brothers, Sam House, Jr. and Frank House.

Martha lived life to the fullest and loved everyone she met.  A consummate care giver, she enjoyed taking care of her family and helping others.  Her favorite pastime was reading and she especially loved reading her Bible.

Survivors include her son, Jack Carlton Harris of Tallapoosa; three grandchildren, Devon and Warren Gregory, Samuel Dean Harris, and Elizabeth Rose Harris; and four great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Bronson, Daylon, and Jacob.  Also surviving are one sister, Brenda Turner, and several other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Martha Harris will be conducted on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at 4:00 PM at Highland Baptist Church in Tallapoosa, with Brother Barry Hutcheson and Brother David McPherson officiating'  The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 PM until the funeral hour.

In keeping with Martha's wishes she will be cremated following the service.
