Obituary

Marshall Foch Snow, Jr., age 76 of Bremen, passed away Friday, September 6, 2024, surrounded by his loving family  Born on November 1, 1947, in Villa Rica, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marshall Foch Snow, Sr. and the late Mamie Ruth Foster Snow.  In addition to his parents, Marshall is preceded in death by two brothers, Mack Snow and Melvin Snow.

After graduating Mt. Zion High School, Marshal began his first career with Southwire as an over the road truck driver.  Being able to see all parts of the country was one of his favorite benefits of the job. After 16 years with Southwire, he began his second career with Carrollton Eye Clinic and retired after 30 plus years.  He was known as a "Jack of all Trades" there.  He could work on any machine, find a patient's file, and even be a chauffeur when needed.  In his leisure time, Marshall enjoyed watching old western movies and sitcoms.  "Hogan's Heroes" was one of his favorite tv shows, as was watching and listening to the Gaither's Gospel Hour.  Marshall will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Sarah Williams Snow of Bremen; his daughters and sons-in-laws, Carolyn & John Barclay of Tallapoosa and Susan & Andrew Tracy of Buchanan; his sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth & Carol Snow of Bremen and Richard Snow of Bremen; and his precious grandchildren: Samantha Reece, Justin Barclay, Ashley Barclay, Allen Snow, Taija Abernathy, Bridget Snow, Tyler Tracy, Ethan Tracy, and Logan Tracy.  Also surviving are his great-grandchildren: Deacon Reece, Maggie Reece, Amelia Reece, Jackson Barclay, Hunter Reece, and Richard Harrell; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Milford & Beverly Snow of Tallapoosa and Marvin & Kathy Snow of Draketown; his brother-in-law, Frank Ellison of California; and several other extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM at Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  In keeping with Marshall's wishes, after the visitation he will be cremated.
