Marsha Long Ballew, age 70 of Buchanan, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2022, after a brief illness.  She was born on February 4, 1952, in Bremen to the late Doris Kiser Long and the late Ronald Lester Long.  She was retired from the Carroll County Training Center, where she had held several positions.  Always the consummate caregiver, Marsha enjoyed taking care of others.  Her passion was her family, and she especially loved being with her grandchildren.  In her retirement, Marsha also enjoyed gardening and working with her roses.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: her daughter, Shayna (Ken) Moses of Tallapoosa; her sons, Bryan (Melissa) Ballew of Tallapoosa, and Gary (Christina) Ballew of Chipley, FL, and a brother, Tracy Long of Carrollton.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Brittany Ballew, Ashley Ballew, BreAnna Moses, Kendra Moses, Dylan Moses, Luke Ballew, Rebecca Ballew, and Rachel Ballew, as well as other family and friends.

The family will host a celebration of Marsha's life on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM, Georgia time, at the Beulah Baptist Church in Muscadine, AL.  Rev. Bill Brown will be officiating the service with music being provided by Kristi Vines, soloist, pianist Steven Bentley, and guitarist Stacy Gilbert.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 PM until the service hour.
