Mrs. Marlena Harden Griffin, age 68, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013. Mrs. Griffin was born in Rosebud, Texas on September 3, 1944. She was the daughter of the late Marvin Harden and the late Vivian Weaver Harden. Mrs. Griffin was a retired criminal background researcher.

Survivors include her husband, Hollis Griffin of Buchanan; one daughter, Holly Tadych of Sante Fe, NM; one son, J.W. Shiflett of Floresville, TX; three sisters, Charlotte Harden McMeans, Grace Harden Richards and Billye Harden Martin all of Corpus Christi, TX; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Randy Rooks officiating.
