Mr. Mark Anthony Cook, age 46, of 2 Weatherly St., Buchanan passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2007. He was born on December 26, 1960 in Haralson County. He was the son of Noel Edward Cook, Sr. of Buchanan and the late Edris June Lee Cook. Mr. Cook was self-employed as the owner of a pressure washing business. Besides his father, Mr. Cook was survived by one daughter, Molly Cook of Heflin; one son, Mitchell Cook of Heflin; one sister, Belinda Smith of Ranburne; one brother, Noel E. "Eddie" Cook of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 3, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. from the West Georgia Worship Center with Rev. Ricky Shirley, Rev. Buddy Gentry and Danny Hutcheson officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Ricky Shirley and Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Lee Smith, Chase Hulsey, Reid Cook, Tyler Newborn, Keith McBrayer, Richard White and Blake Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Buddy Jeffers, Homer Cook, Sterling Cook and O''Neal Cook. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
