Marilyn Lee Johnson Kinney, age 77 of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5. 2023.  Born in Ranger, Texas, on March 10, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joy Lee "John" Johnson and the late Virginia Eudy Johnson.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Kenneth" Kinney, a granddaughter, Natoshia Melissa Smith, a great-granddaughter, Dakota Mae Kimball, and son-in-law, David Kimball.

Marilyn was a consummate caregiver.  Finishing her licensed practical nursing education, she enjoyed working in labor and deliver for many years and later working in geriatrics.  She also enjoyed listening to her husband preach and participating in the Sunday night singings.  Watching movies and coloring were two of her favorite pastimes; however, spending time with her family, especially her grands and great-grands, was her passion.

Her survivors include her daughters, Sheila Kinney Smith of Buchanan; Shelly Kinney Kimball of Buchanan, and Shanna & David Ward of Bremen; her grandchildren, David Lee (Sara) Smith, Jr, Magen (Justin) Hulsey Fincher, Miranda (Jake) Massey, Jennifer Leeann King, Cody James (Haylee West) Kimball, and Molly (Tim) Monk; and her precious great-grandchildren: Hailey, Jesse, Jason,  Camryn, Kaydence, Cason, Austin, Zoey, Kaiden, Kinsleigh, Karleigh, Willow and Candace.   Also surviving is her sister Martha Lee (Ron) Emerich of Pensacola, FL; her brother, Bill (Dottie) Eudy of Cisco, TX, and a number of other family.

A memorial service for Marilyn Kinney will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Roger Kiser officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 2:00 until the service hour.
