Margo May Rush, age 75 of Rockmart, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025, at her residence.  Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on August 1, 1949, she was the daughter of the late George Howard May and the late Myra Rodman May.  In addition to her parents, Margo is preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Golden Rush.

Margo was raised in Dutchess County, New York.  She was a 1967 graduate of the Millbrook School System in Millbrook, New York.  Always having a caregiver's heart, Margo later continued her education and graduated Georgia Highlands in 1984 with a degree in nursing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Sheryll and Danny Bridges and Jaimie and Christopher Brannon, all of Rockmart; her 3 grandchildren; and her 12 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life for Margo Rush will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 13, 2025, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Kenny Teal officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM.
