Obituary

Mrs. Margaret C. McBrayer Sampson, age 63, of Douglasville passed away Monday, June 13, 2011. Mrs. Sampson was born in Buchanan, GA on March 3, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Martin VanBuren McBrayer and the late Mary Elizabeth Bowling McBrayer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Jeanette Conrad and Charlotte Gilland and brothers, Rev. David McBrayer and Joseph McBrayer. Survivors include her husband, Robert H. Sampson, Sr. of Douglasville; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Angela Williams of Douglasville, Michelle and Mark Merritt of Bremen, Cindy and Scott Harrison of Powder Springs and Tina and Danny Parker of Dallas; three sons and daughters-in-law, Warren Wylder and Melissa Parker of Amelia, OH, Robert and Allana Sampson, Jr. of Douglasville and Allan and Jennifer Sampson of Douglasville; three sisters, Maxine Thomas of Jonesboro, Imogene Evans of Mableton and Martha Puckett of Buchanan; four brothers, Rev. Dr. Terrell McBrayer of Bremen, Van P. McBrayer of Buchanan, Jerry McBrayer of Bremen and Dr. Daniel McBrayer of Marietta; nineteen grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and a large number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dr. Terrell McBrayer, Rev. Myra Woodbridge, Rev. Scott Harrison and Rev. J. Marcus Merritt officiating. Music will be rendered by Betty McBrayer and the McBrayer Family. Interment will follow in the Buchanan Church of God Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Wylder Parker, Robert Sampson, Alan Sampson, Dale Kilgore, Scott Harrison and Danny Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Dylan Bellew, Nathan Merrit and Aaron Porter. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
