Mrs. Margaret Sue Lavender Herrick, age 87, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017.  Mrs. Herrick was born in Orlando, Florida, on November 26, 1929.  She was the daughter of the late James Lavender and the late Thelma Watson Lavender.  Mrs. Herrick was a retired switchboard operator.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd G. Herrick.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Jerry Holtzclaw of Buchanan; two son and daughters-in-law, Andrew H. and Charlene Freeze of Hiram and Charles B. and Debbie Freeze of Dacula; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Pritchard, and Jean and Ron Nelson all of Virginia; four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Barfield officiating.  Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, Georgia, at 1:00 P.M. with Danny Hutcheson officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
