Miss Makayla Naomi Burton, age 8, of Waco passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017.  She was born in Carrollton, Georgia, on February 23, 2009.  She attended 2nd grade at Tallapoosa Primary School.  Makayla is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Richard Jones and her paternal grandfather, Hoyt Burton.

Survivors include her parents, Troy and Kim (Jones) Burton of Waco; her brothers, Hoyt Richard Burton and David Eli Burton of Waco; her maternal grandmother, Linda Jones of Waco; and her paternal grandmother, Lynn Fincher of Tallapoosa.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11 A.M. from Emmanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Collett, Rev. Tyler Barron, and Rev. Barry Taylor officiating.  Music will be rendered by Jenna Reed, Bonnie Sanders, Apsen Ruff, Stacie Fennell, and Wanda Garner.  Interment will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Tallapoosa with Corey Jones, Brandon Morgan, Scott Jones, James Darren Topping, Zack Nutphum, and Dale Fennell serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Friday, October 13, 2017 from 6 P.M. to 9 P.M.
