Mr. Luther Irwin McCall, age 73, of Buchanan passed away Friday, June 22, 2012. Mr. McCall was born in Salem, Florida on August 6, 1938. He was the son of the late Lonnie McCall and the late Lula Ursula Haghen McCall. Mr. McCall was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and was a retired truck driver with Seven Hills Transport.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Houston McCall of Buchanan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and William Miller of Buchanan and Betty and Shane McCall of Cartersville; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William Lee and Tracy Hernandez of Griffin and Michael McCall of Adairsville; two step-daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Tim Pate of Bowdon and Kayla and Chris Fincher of Cedartown; one step-son, William Kevin Houston of Ft. Payne, AL; two sisters, Gennie Lou Brooks of Orlando, FL and Hilda McCall of Perry, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Lenny Dale and Kathy McCall of Brookville, TX; eighteen grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, June 24, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. William Miller, Rev. Joe Shoemaker and Rev. Travis Pritchard officiating. Music will be rendered by Robbie Houston. Military honors will be provided by the Haralson County Veterans Association.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday evening from 4:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
