Mr. Luther Eugene Mason, age 85, of Buchanan passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2016.  Mr. Mason was born in Culllman, Alabama on July 9, 1931.  He was the son of the late Frank Mason and the late Inez Bradley Mason.  Mr. Mason was a retired self-employed truck driver.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Annie Mae Cheatwood and Betty Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Rosie Lee Burns Mason of Buchanan; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Jim Cox of Buchanan; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry 'Rabbit" and Liz Mason of Buchanan and Danny and Vickie Mason of Buchanan; sister, Grace Thomas of Bremen; grandchildren, Jay Mason, Dana Cox, Tangi Dewberry, Cassie Hardin, Jacob Cox and Joelton Cox; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Bro. Danny Mason and Bro. Ricky Shirley officiating.  Interment will follow in Buchanan Church of God Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
