Mrs. Lucy Jean Summerville Carter, age 66, of 3310 Cashtown Rd., Bremen passed away Monday, March 26, 2007. Mrs. Carter was born in Haralson County on December 26, 1940. She was the daughter of the late Chalmers Summerville and Frankie Weaver Crawford of Rockmart. Mrs. Carter was retired from Tyco Plastics. Survivors besides her mother include one son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Linda Carter of Bremen; five brothers, Doug Summerville of Rockmart, Jimmy Summerville of Bremen, Wayne Summerville of Cedartown, Cecil Summerville of Rockmart and Joe Summerville of Cedartown; two grandchildren, Alicia Carter of Bremen and Adam Carter of Bremen; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 29, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. from the Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Travis Pritchard and Rev. Jason Owens officiating. Music will be rendered by the Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Union Hill Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Charlie McElroy, Johnny Hulsey, Barry Summerville, Brad Summerville, Trey McAlpin and Richard Brannon. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
