Mrs. Alice Lucile Wade Gillham, age 96, of 2587 Corinth-Poseyville Rd., Bremen formerly of Carrollton passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007. Mrs. Gillham was born in Geneva County, Alabama on August 3, 1910. She was the daughter of the late Leon Smith Wade and the late Alice Fahy Sutton Wade. Mrs. Gillham was graduated from Girl''s High School in Atlanta in 1928. She served for over twenty years as a volunteer with the Auxiliary of Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leslie Merle Gillham, Sr.; one sister, Harriette Turner; five brothers, Lamont Wade, Eugene Wade, Leon Wade, Louis Wade and Jimmy Wade. Survivors include four daughters and one son-in-law, Ruth Queen of Cartersville, Dr. Mary and Frank Perry of Mineral Bluff, Dr. Margaret Gillham of Fayetteville and Dr. Martha Smith of Bremen; one son and daughter-in-law, Leslie Merle "Butch" and Linda Gillham of Douglasville; one sister, Linda Lillard of Douglasville; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a number other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 15, 2007 at 4:00 P.M. from the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Carrollton with Rev. Larry Insko officiating. Music will be rendered by Robin Lyle and Glen Fraser. Interment will follow in the Carroll Memory Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Tyler Mallory, Scott Stover, Paul Gillham, David Gillham, Donnie Gillham, and Steve Gillham. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
