Mrs. Lona Elena "Biggie" Harden Boyce, age 94, of 2181 Corinth-Poseyville Rd., Bremen passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008. Mrs. Boyce was born in Cleburne County, Alabama on August 28, 1913. She was the daughter of the late William John Harden and the late Minnie Elizabeth George Harden. Mrs. Boyce was a homemaker. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Boyce; four sisters; two brothers; one grandson; and one great grandson.
Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Earlene Treadwell of Bremen, Betty Boswell of Bremen and Sarah and Jimmy Summerville of Bremen; two sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Shirley Boyce of Bremen and Dennis and Bonnie Boyce of Bremen; one sisters, Louise Hollis of Smyrna; sixteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 3:00 P.M. from the Corinth Baptist Church with Rev. Wendell Rush and Rev. Aaron Johnson officiating. Music will be rendered by Ronnie Hitchcock. Interment will follow in the Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Michael Treadwell, David Treadwell, Mark Treadwell, Scott Treadwell, Donnie Boyce, Blake Hitchcock, Trey McAlpin and John Boyce.
