Mrs. Lois Ann Worthy Davis, age 86, of 4975 Hwy. 120, Buchanan passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010. Mrs. Davis was born in Haralson County on December 19, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Alva Worthy and the late Ruby Perry Worthy. Mrs. Davis was retired from the lunchroom at Buchanan School and also worked as a clerk at Perry''s Dry Goods Store. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Davis and one sister, Ruth Waldrop. Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Adams of Tallapoosa; four sisters, Ruby Nell Swann of Buchanan, Bonnell Bannister of Farmington, MO, Valeria Leatherwood of Douglasville and Helen Driver of Carrollton; two grandchildren, Tressy Treadwell of Bremen and Tim Adams of Buchanan; three great grandchildren, Adam Treadwell of Bremen, Beth Treadwell of Bremen and Cambryn Adams of Buchanan; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 6, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from New Vision Church of God with Rev. Garvin Sellers and Rev. Jason Spray officiating. Music will be rendered by Rev. Buddy Gentry. Interment will follow in the Buchanan Church of God Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Mike White, Ricky Davis, Len Davis, Larry Lanier, Nick Wilson and Marty Bennett. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
