Mrs. Lizzie Mae Hulsey Vines, age 85, of Buchanan passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017.  Mrs. Vines was born in Haralson County, Georgia, on February 27, 1932.  She was the daughter of the late Lumus Hulsey and the late Ida Mae Folsom Hulsey.  Mrs. Vines retired from West Haralson School where she worked in the lunch room.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Vines, Sr.; one sister, Maurine Hulsey; five brothers and their spouses, Wilburn and Kate Hulsey, Calvin and Flora Lee Hulsey, Hugh Dorsey and Joyce Hulsey, Winford Hulsey, and Leroy Hulsey.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, John H. and Opal Vines of Buchanan; one brother and sister-in-law, Alton and Mary Lee Hulsey of Cedartown; three sisters-in-law, Clara Hulsey of Tucker, Jeanette Callahan of Buchanan and Faye Crawford of Cedartown; two grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Tracey Vines, and Lisa and Jason Hudgens; four great grandchildren, Laurel Vines, Lanie Vines, Alyssa Hudgens and Addison Hudgens; special friends, Donny and Nell Anderson; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. from New Canaan Baptist Church with Rev. Jason Hudgens and Rev. Billy Vines officiating.  Music will be rendered by Jamie Hutcheson, Kyle Cochran and Becky Bearden.  Interment will follow in New Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M.
