Linda Gail White Cook, age 73 of Fruithurst, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023. Born on December 8, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Otis H. White and the late Roberta Curtis White. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Blake Cook, Sr. and a sister, Brenda White Cook

Linda was the consummate caregiver.  Attending Troup Technical College in LaGrange, she received her Licensed Practical Nursing certification.  She worked for more than 30 years in the Nursing field; many of those years spent in local nursing and rehab facilities.  Linda was a collector of angels and loved the color blue.  With her inquisitive mind, she enjoyed solving puzzles and watching mystery shows on TV.  Linda loved all things associated with Elvis, but her pride and joy was her family.  She also loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was a Christian by faith.

Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Millie Cook of Opelika and Christine and Jacob Hughes of Fruithurst; sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Jodie Cook Jr. of LaGrange, Jack Cook of Carrollton, Nick and Nicole Cook of Carrollton and Wayne and Miranda Cook of Waco; and her sister, Mary White Salter of Thomaston.  Also surviving are her beloved grandchildren, Michelle Hall, Lisa Brackett, Nathan Cook, Kimberly Yantis, Michael Cook, Tiffany Daniel, Arin Daniel, Jessica Shead, Sadie Cook, Kenzie Cook, Meagan Gordon, Cole Gordon, MaKayla Cook, Dustin Cook, Parker Bell, Angalena Wilborn, Grace Wilborn, Trey Wilborn, Jayden Hughes, Eliyana Hughes, Alaina Cook and MaeLynn Cook; 13 great grandchildren; her sisters-in-law, Hannah Gamel and Sharon Bowman; her brothers-in-law Don Cook and Billy Cook, and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Linda Cook will be conducted on Friday, July 7, 2023, at 6:00 PM from Providence Baptist Church in Tallapoosa with Brother Doug Bingham and Pastor Curtis Pixler officiating. Following the service, Linda will be cremated.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 5:00 PM until the service hour.
