Linda Thompson Caldwell, age 76 of Tallapoosa, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Aragon, Georgia, on May 8, 1948, she was the fifth child of the late James Clayton Thompson, Sr. and the late Martha Carter Thompson.  In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Lyle and Rosie Williams, and her brothers, Donnie Thompson and Gordon Thompson.

Linda loved everyone and was affectionately known as "Nana" to most.  She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  In her leisure time, Linda enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel and game shows.  Her favorite drink was Tab, and she was so disappointed when it went out of production.  Her sweet and loving personality will be missed by all who knew her, but especially by her family.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl & Robert Edwards of Tallapoosa, and Tina  & Rodney Fincher of Tallapoosa; her brother, James Thompson of Rockmart; and her precious grandchildren: Tiffany & Jeremy Bowman, Hannah & Casey Patterson, Danielle & Jason Lopez, and Tina & Eric Hopper. Also surviving are her sweet great-grandchildren: Kara, Noah, Olivia, Layla, Arianna, Everett, and Josie, as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services for Linda Caldwell will be conducted on Monday, October 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Robert Edwards officiating.  Linda will be laid to rest at Buchanan City Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jeremy Bowman, Casey Patterson, Gage Britt, Stanley Robinson, Preston Abercrombie, and Jason Lopez.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Robert Edwards and Rodney Fincher.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
