Linda Jeannette Terrell Wertenberger, age 81 of Bowdon, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 11, 2024, in a local hospital.  Born in Carroll County, Georgia, on October 24, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Grover W. Terrell and the late Dora Bailey Terrell.  In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Todd, and her brothers, Cecil Terrell, James Terrell, and Lawrence Terrell.

For more than 13 years, Linda worked as a lunchroom lady for Carroll County Schools.  In her spare time, Linda enjoyed crafting and sewing.  She also enjoyed baking, especially during the Christmas season.  Many weekends, Linda could be found watching her beloved Atlanta Braves.  But her passion was her family.  Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and going to family reunions.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy & Marty Robinson of Bowdon; her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas & Tammy Wertenberger of Anniston; her grandchildren: Dion Wertenberger, Ashley Morrow, Brandy Harper, Amber Shipman, Brittany Robinson, and Austin Wertenberger; and her precious great-granchildren: Michael, Rylin, Addison, Arielle, Emma, Ryder, and Ryver.  Also surviving are her sisters, Terri Chambers of Ranburne and Laura Terrell of Marietta as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Funeral services for Linda Wertenberger will be conducted on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Tallapoosa Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery on Tyus Road.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from noon until the funeral hour.
