Linda Ruth Sutton Gray, age 77 of Buchanan, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 14, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Atlanta on January 11, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Newfene Sutton and the late Mary Spivey Sutton.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a sister, Judy Davis.

A graduate of Paulding County High School, Linda loved children and found her purpose in driving a school bus.  She spent many years driving for Cobb County Schools, and she spent 14 years driving for the Haralson County School System where she retired. Watching old tv shows, such as the "Golden Girls" and Andy Griffith," was how Linda spent her leisure time.  She loved her Lord and Savior and was a faithful church member, most recently at Full Life Church.  Linda loved her family and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, John Gray of Buchanan; her sons, Scott (Amanda) Gray of Fruithurst, Eddie (Julie) Gray of Buchanan, and Brian (David) Gray of Brilliant, ; her brother, Sonny Sutton of Douglasville; and her sisters, Janie Rakestraw of Mableton and Pearl Gilbert of Douglasville.  Also surviving are her precious grandchildren: Levi (Mackenzie) Gray, Lexi (Cody) Summerville, Edward (Nicole) Gray, Haley (Nathaniel) Gray, Stephen (Hannah) Gray, Brilynn (Blake) Gray, John Iacono and Austin Iacono; her great-grandchildren: Remmie, River, Peyton, Savannah, Waylon, Charlotte, Addyson, Jesse, Jorgie, Willow, Dutton, Emme, Brixton, Stephen III, Taylin, Aurora, and Corbin; as well as many other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Linda Gray will be conducted on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Brother Johnny Hightower officiating. Interment will follow in the Powder Springs Memorial Gardens with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Scott Gray, Eddie Gray, Brian Gray, Levi Gray, Edward Gray, and Stephen Gray.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from Noon until 2:00 PM.
