Linda Diane Garner of Buchanan was born September 4, 1966, in Carrollton, Georgia. She was the daughter of Margaret Smith and the late J.L. Smith. In addition to her father, Linda was also preceded in death by her brother, Lynn Smith.

Known by many names… Linda, Linda Lou, Linda bird, Mom, Smurfy, sister, aunt, and friend. No words here could come close to the complexity of the loved person she was. She was funny, smart and witty. She had the greatest love of music. Every genre spoke to her soul. She would rather roll the windows down and turn up the radio and drive, read a book or watch a documentary than go out any night of the week.  She was a stay-at-home mother for many years before going to work for AT&T, where she retired.

Left to cherish her memories are her mother Margaret Smith, son Brandon Garner and his wife Christy Garner, son Gabe Garner and his wife Brandie Garner, and her grandson Brayden Garner. She also leaves behind a lifelong best friend, Lynn Johnson.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated.
