Linda Ann Key Patterson, age 74 of Tallapoosa, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  Born on April 13, 1949, in Tallapoosa, she was the daughter of the late William and Lola Wingo Key.  In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her brother Bobby Key.

Linda was reared in Tallapoosa and was a 1967 graduate of West Haralson High School.  Basketball was her sport of choice and she played for the revered Coach Caswell.  Upon entering the workforce, Linda decided upon banking and worked for many years at CB&T.  She retired as Vice-President of Deposit Operations.  Her home life was centered around her family and she loved to cook for them.  Christmas with her family was her favorite time of year. Linda enjoyed spending time at the beach, watching Family Feud and cheering for the Auburn Tiger football team.

Left to cherish her memories are her daughters and sons-in-law, Terri and Tracy Robinson and Betsy and Jeff Dewberry, all of Tallapoosa, her precious grandchildren: Chase and Bryant Robinson-Hand, Hope and Jessa Searles, Luke Dewberry, Laci Dewberry, and Lyndi and Beau Barrow.  Also surviving are her sisters and brothers-in-law, Edwina and Charles Goolsby of Tallapoosa and Ethel and James Walters of Luthersville; a sister-in-law, Joyce Key of Tallapoosa; and a host of other family members.

A private service was held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Pine Grove Baptist Church with the eulogy being given by Chase Robinson. Music was rendered by Jeff Dewberry, Bryant Hand, and Tim Hand. Pallbearers serving were Tracy Robinson, Jeff Dewberry, Chase Robinson, Luke Dewberry, Danny Walters, and Trevor Key.

Interment followed in Pine Grove Church Cemetery.
