Linda Diane Brown

Feb 7, 1947 — Oct 2, 2026

Bremen, GA

Linda Diane Clayton Brown gained her heavenly wings on Friday, October 2, 2026.  Born in Bremen, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willis Lee Clayton and the late Marie Eileen Pritchard.

A 1966 graduate of Tallapoosa High School, Diane worked for many years in the administrative offices of Arrow Shirt Company and Darsey Manufacturing.  In her younger years, she and her daughter, Heather DeLee, were inseparable best friends.  Diane was always "put together" with perfectly matched outfits, every hair in place, and always with her finger nails perfectly manicured with red polish.  She enjoyed finding hidden treasures at yard sales to decorate her home for each season and occasion.  A woman who loved with her whole heart, Diane dearly loved her family and her extended family in Christ.  She was a wonderful help mate to her husband, Van; an amazing mother to her children; and a precious Grandma to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She and Van always experienced great adventures traveling and camping with their dear friends.  Diane's beauty, grace, and strong faith will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her precious memories are her beloved husband, Van Edward Brown; her children, Heather DeLee Morrow of Bremen, Van Edward "Eddie" (Jessica) Brown II of Temple, Brandon Neal (Julie) Brown of Roanoke, Alabama, and bonus children, Paul & Teena McCormick; her precious grandchildren: Andrew Mitcham, Nick Mitcham, Kayla Griffin, Cody Brown, Caitlin Walker, Bailey Brown, and bonus grandchildren, Taffney Morales and Jacob McCormick; and 5 beautiful great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are her cousin, W.L. Rainey, and her aunt, Janice Williamson, who along with Diane were "thick as thieves" growing up; as well as many wonderful friends.

Funeral services for Diane Brown will be conducted at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dr. Allen Wilburn, Brother Paul McCormick, and Brother Brandon Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Brother Bill Hamrick presiding.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.  You may donate by check or through our online payment center.
