Linda Louise Bass

Linda Louise Griffis Bass, cherished mother, beloved grandmother, and devoted wife, was born on January 8, 1944, in Shannon, Georgia, and left this world peacefully at her home in Carrollton on March 3, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Reuben Griffis and the late Hazel Blair Griffis.

After graduating from Arcata High School in California, she stepped into the world with a bright smile and an unwavering spirit. She had a strong work ethic ultimately contributing for many years in quality control at CBS/Sony Records, where she retired. Above all her accomplishments, Linda was a woman defined by her love for her family. She was especially devoted to her grandchildren, who affectionately called her "Nani." With warmth in her heart, she celebrated all her family's achievements, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Linda had an innate passion for gardening, transforming her surroundings with beautiful flower gardens that reflected her vibrant personality. Linda treasured the many road trips she embarked on with her husband of 63 years. Each journey shared was a new chapter filled with laughter, exploration, and the creation of unforgettable memories. Linda’s life was a testament to love, family, and the joy found in the simple pleasures that made each day special.

Linda is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Lori Crook and Scott Crocker of Lowell and Lisa Bass of Carrollton; her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Estela Bass of Roopville; and her precious grandchildren: Garett & Jessica Crook, Griffin & Patience Crook, Christopher Bass, and Jesse Bass. Also surviving are her siblings, Barbara Rudene of McKinleyville, California and Larry & Glenda Griffis of Rome, Georgia

In keeping with her wishes, Linda will be cremated.
