Mrs. Lessie "Dimples" Louise Ross Moore, age 80, of Buchanan passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016.  Mrs. Moore was born in Buchanan, Georgia on November 22, 1935.  She was the daughter of the late Willie Ross and the late Laura Mae Lee Ross.  Mrs. Moore retired from Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan.  Dimples was a "people person" and loved everyone she met and was very devoted to her family.  She touched many lives and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Moore; one daughter, Angela Shivers; and three brothers, Walter Ross, Jerry Ross and Henry Grady Ross.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Anita and John Shooks, Jr. of Cedartown; one son, Sterling Moore of Buchanan; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Linda Ross of Buchanan, Juanita and Ted Barnett of Cave Spring and Jo Ann Johnson of Buchanan; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Noble and Erma Ross of Atlanta and John and Judy Ross of Lawrenceville; two sisters-in-law, Erdean Ross of Tennessee and Shirley Ross of Bremen; five grandchildren, Jonathan Moore, Raymond Moore, Preston Shooks, Linda Shooks and Josh T. Moore; five great grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Jackson Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Calhoun officiating.  Music will be rendered by the Church Choir.  Interment will follow in Jackson Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Riakos Ross, Marshall Ross, Leon Ross, Lamar Ross, Andre Ross and Michael Ross.

The remains will be taken to the Church to lie in state Wednesday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
