Mr. Leslie Wayne Hayes, Sr., age 75, of Buchanan passed Tuesday, February 23, 2016.  Mr. Hayes was born in Six Mile, Alabama on November 30, 1940.  He was the son of the late Golman Hayes and late Jessie Mae Crenshaw Hayes.  Mr. Hayes was a mechanic for most of his life.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Copeland Hayes.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Phillip Thomas of Buchanan; three sons, Barry Hayes, Larry Wayne Hayes and Leslie Hayes, Jr. all of Buchanan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl and David Tatum of Powder Springs, Linda and Mike Bredlove and Jean and Hanson Leach all of Alabama; two grandchildren, Trebor Wayne Hayes and Rachel Ann Hayes; and a number of other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, February 26, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson's Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Shoemaker officiating.  Interment will follow in Mount Zion East Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M.
