Mr. Leon "L.C." Clifford Peterson, age 70, of Tallapoosa passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014.  Mr. Peterson was born in Milbank, South Dakota on March 17, 1944.  He was the son of the late Clifford Peterson and the late Gladys DeClercq Tuel.  Mr. Peterson was veteran of the United States Navy and was a retired disk jockey having most recently worked at WKNG in Tallapoosa.  For many years he was the voice of the Haralson County Rebels Football Team. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Mae Scharf.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Ken and Sherry Peterson of Grass Lake, MI and Paul Clifford Peterson; four grandchildren, Jaime Peterson, Melissa Skidmore, Smantha Hoffman and Rosie Spradlin; and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, January 3, 2015 at 4:00 P.M. from Waco United Methodist Church with Rev. Donald Stephens and Rev. Kevin Aronhalt officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Church Saturday from 3:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M.
