Mr. Lawrence H. Brasington, Jr., age 88, of 965 Holcombe Rd., Buchanan passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008. Mr. Brasington was born in Marion County, Georgia on February 4, 1920. He was the son of the late Lawrence H. Brasington, Sr. and the late Sabrina Jordon Brasington. Mr. Brasington was retired from Lockeed Martin Aircraft where he was a Mechanical Developer. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Richard Millwood of Temple; tso sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Roseanne Brasington of Powder Springs and Neil and Melynda Brasington of Buchanan; six grandchildren, Emily Brasington of Buchanan, Samantha Brasington of Buchanan, Michael Millwood of Kennesaw and Matthew Millwood of Temple, Lynn Brasington of Mableton and Sarah Brasington of Somerville, MA; two great grandchildren, Haley Millwood of Temple and Jesse Millwood of Kennesaw; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, February 18, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah''s Witnesses in Bremen with Elder Ralph Davis and Elder Ed Porter officiating. Interment will follow in the Pineywoods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Lynn Brasington, Nathan Paul, Sam Halorday, James Fox, Ed Horne and Billy McAdams. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Matt Millwood, Michael Millwood and Paul Samuels. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
