Mrs. Lavada Polly Morris Crook, age 80, of 104 College Circle, Buchanan passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010. Mrs. Crook was born in Haralson County on January 3, 1930. She was the daughter of the late Johnny Franklin Morris and the late Annie Hobbs Morris. Mrs. Crook was retired from Arrow Shirt Company in Buchanan. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max W. Crook, Sr.; one sister, Rachel Morris; three brothers, Johnny F. Morris, Jr., Bobby Morris and David Morris. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Becky and David Ross of Rockmart; five sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Jackie Crook of LaGrange, Max and Peggy Crook of Buchanan, Danny and Debbie Crook of Buchanan, Phillip and Caron Crook of Cedartown and Brian and Donna Crook of Tallapoosa; one sister and brother-in-law, Jennie Lee and Glenn Hyatt of Ranburne, AL; two sisters-in-law, Betty Morris of Buchanan and Mary Morris of Cartersville; eight grandchildren, Jason Crook, Todd Crook, Joey Crook, Sarah Crook, Cassie Reed, Katie Smith, Callie Crook and Savannah Ross; eight great grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. from Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jason Hudgens and Rev. Victor Benefield officiating. Music will be rendered by Savannah and David Ross. Interment will follow in Piney Woods Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Jason Crook, Todd Crook, Joey Crook, Matt Jones, Daniel Smith, Thomas Reed and Matt Hulsey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Steve Edwards and Gail Bowers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday and Tuesday evenings from 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Hutcheson''s Memorial Chapel & Crematory of Buchanan is in charge of the arrangements.
